EU funding for Ghana port development study

The European Union has committed €1.4 million to support the delivery of Ghana's Western Corridor Feasibility Study, which aims to identify investment potential in the Port of Takoradi and surrounding infrastructure.

COSCO Pacific Ltd., the terminal operator arm of the COSCO Group, has clinched a deal to win a 35-year franchise operating right of the No. 2 and No. 3 terminals at the Port of Piraeus in Greece for €831 million.
WICET Holdings preferred developer for $4 billion project

The Premier of Queensland, Australia, has announced a deal that will see the WICET Holdings consortium of companies granted 'preferred developer status' for the new Wiggins Island coal terminal to be built in the Port of Gladstone, providing $4 billion in private funding to the project.
ICTSI completes PHP6.85 billion financing deal

A group of Philippine-based commercial banks and institutional investors has agreed a deal for the provision of medium term credit facilities totalling Php6.85 billion (approximately US$140 million) to International Container Terminal Services, Inc. (ICTSI).
Cook Islands' Avatiu Port to receive $15.5m from ADB

The Asian Development Bank (ADB) is to provide a financial assistance package of $15.5 million to expand Avatiu Port, the main international port of the Cook Islands handling 90 per cent of imports by sea.

Mundra Port, Wallenius Wilhelmsen, and NYK sign terminal MOU

Mundra Port and Special Economic Zone (MPSEZ), Wallenius Wilhelmsen Logistics (WWL) of Norway, and Nippon Yusen Kabushiki Kaisha (NYK) of Japan have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for the development of a new dedicated automobile terminal at the Indian facility.
Grant funding for Port of Toledo

Lieutenant Governor of Ohio Lee Fisher has announced the award of $46 million in Job Ready Sites programme grants and $4.5 million in other state infrastructure grants for projects at 12 commercial sites throughout the state, which will include development of the Port of Toledo.
